Verifying if SQL Tax is installed

This support note applies to:

  • AE Tax (AU)
Article ID: 30059

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) Tax, you have the choice to use MS SQL to store your data.  You may need to identify if this is the case or if you are using Non-SQL AE Tax.

You can identify if you are using SQL or not by reviewing the location of the AE Tax ledger in the System Release folder settings.

If the location starts with S6:\\ this means you use SQL Tax. If the location ends with SOL63, this means you are not using SQL for Tax.

To review the System Release folders
  1. Open System Release. The Folders window appears.

If the Folders window does not appear, click the Administration link on the Task Panel, then click the Folders link.
  2. Review the information in the location column for the Tax folder.

    Description

    Location

    SQL

    S6:\\SERVER\MSSQL\SQLTAX

    Non-SQL

    \\SERVER\S6SYSTEM\SOL63

If the location starts with S6:\\ this means you use SQL Tax. If the location ends with SOL63, this means you are not using SQL for Tax.
