Schedule Notes Index
The Schedule Notes index displays a list of all notes attached to the return. This includes:
Return Notes attached at items or to schedules. These are created during return data entry, by clicking [F9]. Return Notes display the Form (I, P, T, C, F) or schedule type in the first column of the index. Return Notes will generally be year specific. Refer to Schedule Note Screen.
Notes unrelated to any specific item in the return, 'Post-it' style note. These are added by selecting Preparation > Schedule Notes > New. When such a note is created the Code you give it is displayed in the first column of the Schedule Notes index. These Post-it style notes are less likely to be year specific.
Year End Routine (AE and Series 6/8 only)
During the Year End Routine Notes are retained by default. To remove Return Notes, such as, those attached to items and schedules and likely to be year specific, deselect the Retain Notes checkbox.
Post-it style notes are always carried forward to the next year whether or not the Retain Notes checkbox is selected.

Options available from the Schedule Notes index
The index lists all the schedule notes attached to the selected return. Notes can be added, deleted and edited from this Index.
To add a note, select New. The Add Schedule Note screen will be displayed. Enter the note code to be used for identifying this note.
To edit an existing note, highlight the required note and select Properties.
To remove an existing note, highlight the required note and select Delete.
A Practice or Substantiation note may be attached during data entry by clicking on the Note icon when it is active. The shortcut key for this function is [F9].
