If there are any journals posted in the migrated ledger, you may see duplicated journals posted if you resubmit journals via MYOB Assets Live. A warning message will be logged in Migration Log.
To migrate MYOB AO Classic data
Ensure that using a MYOB AO Classic asset register that is from 2013 onwards.
Exit MYOB AO Classic before you start the migration process.
Configure the client’s financial data source to be an MYOB AO Classic general ledger. See Configuring an AO Classic general ledger as the data source.
Access an asset register. See Accessing an asset register.
Select Migrate data on the TASKS bar. The Migrate Data window opens.
Select AO Classic asset register from your Product drop-down.
Select your MYOB AO Classic asset register.
Enter the path of the MYOB AO Classic asset register, if it is known.
If you wish to search for the MYOB AO Classic asset register:
Click the ellipsis button at the end of the AO Classic asset register field.
Browse to the location of your MYOB AO classic asset register.
Select the file and click OK. The Year details are automatically filled from the selected MYOB AO Classic asset register.
Click OK. As the migration process starts a Migration details section will appear on the Assets tab, below the General ledger details section. You can view the status migration process and see the results of the migration.
