Application categories

Application Categories can be configured to group applications. Application sub-categories can also be added.

Application categories display in the Applications section in the sequence in which they were added in MYOB Intranet Administration.

Adding an application category
  1. Access the MYOB Intranet Administration window. See MYOB Intranet Administration and Maintenance.
  2. Select the Application section in the left-hand panel.
  3. Right-click it and select New Category. The Edit Application window opens with only the Details tab available.
  4. Enter a Title for the application category or sub-category. The Title displays in the Application section in MYOB Intranet.
  5. Enter a Description for the application category or sub-category. The Description is optional and displays only in the Application window in MYOB Intranet Administration.

When you have added application categories, you may need to refresh MYOB Intranet to display them. Click the MYOB Intranet button on the MYOB Intranet Outlook toolbar (or press [F5]) or select Tasks bar > Common Tasks > Refresh.

Editing an application category
  1. Access the MYOB Intranet Administration window. See MYOB Intranet Administration and Maintenance.
  2. Select the application category.
  3. Right-click it and select Properties. The Edit Application window opens with only the Details tab available.
  4. Edit the Title and Description fields as required.
  5. Click OK.
Deleting an application category

You will not be allowed to delete an application category that contains applications or sub-categories. These must be deleted before the category itself can be deleted.

  1. Access the MYOB Intranet Administration window. See MYOB Intranet Administration and Maintenance.
  2. Select the application category.
  3. Right-click it and select Delete Category. A MYOB Intranet message appears requesting confirmation to delete the application category.
  4. Click Yes.
