Saving documents to MYOB AE

 

If PDF Manager is integrated with MYOB AE Practice Manager, you can select to display client documents one of two ways:

  • Grid view is a grid of linked client documents (this is the current option)

  • Document folder view is based on an Explorer style user interface.

The folder view treats some information differently to the grid view. The following table lists the comparisons.

This identifies the client in MYOB AE.

Assignment

This relates the document to a function such as Audit, Tax, FBT set up in MYOB AE.

An assignment type applied to a document in grid view is lost when changing to folder view.

Description

Text identifying the document.

The description is covered by the File Name.

File Name

This is a storage location followed by the File Name.
The storage location is determined by an algorithm and is unrestricted.

This is a description identifying the document.

Location

The location where the document is stored is included in the File Name.

The default location is the client document folder. Documents in this folder are accessible from the Client page > Documents tab. You may select an alternative location. If the selected location is not accessible to MYOB AE, a warning message is displayed.

Saving files

Saving in grid view
  1. Select the document (or pages).
  2. Select File > Save with. Alternatively, select Save With on the PDF Task bar.
  3. Complete the Save with settings for Client Code, Assignment, Description and File Name.
  4. Select OK to save the document.
Saving in folder view
  1. Select the document (or pages).
  2. Select File > Save with. Alternatively, select Save With on the PDF Task bar.
  3. Complete the Save with settings for Client Code, File Name and File Location.
  4. Select OK to save the document.
