The WIP Journal functionality enables you transfer WIP from jobs and schedules.
The transfer of WIP depends on the job mode set up by the practice. The general rules are:
WIP can be transferred from one assignment to another once the entry is posted.
Billed or partially billed entries cannot be transferred.
Specific rules depend on the job mode.

A: When transferring to a schedule/stage with multiple employee categories associated with the stage, users are presented with a list of categories to post the WIP to.
WIP cannot be transferred to and from a schedule stage that is complete. In the Job/Schedule drop-down, the completed stage will not be displayed.
In this mode, as WIP is only posted to assignments and not jobs, you will not be presented with a list of jobs under the Job/Schedule name for an assignment which has jobs associated to it. In this case the Schedule/Jobs field will be unavailable (greyed out).
