What's included in the release
NZ Investment Boost
Investment Boost is a new tax deduction for all businesses. Starting 22 May 2025, businesses can claim a 20% upfront tax deduction on qualifying new assets.
In AE/AO and Assets Live, you can now apply the investment boost for qualifying new assets by selecting Apply investment boost deduction.
Tax schedule and full schedule report
If you’ve applied the investment boost to an asset, we’ll show that indicator in the Tax schedule report tohelp you understand the depreciation calculation.
Error: Unable to save the change because this asset ..
If you have applied the investment boost in Assets Live, you can't edit the asset in AE/AO if it is not updated to this version. You’ll see the following error:
Install guide
Prerequisites
You must have MYOB AE/AO version 5.4.45 installed.To check your current version, click Help > About. Ensure you have administrator access to the server where MYOB AE/AO is installed.
Ensure all users are logged out of MYOB AE/AO.
Installing the hotfix
Go to my.MYOBanddownload the MYOB_AEAO_5.4.45_ANZ_Hotfix_KB652214298 file to your server location where you installed MYOB AE/AO.
Double-click the executable to start the installation.
In the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard window, click Next.
Select I accept the terms in the licence agreement. Click Next.
In Ready to install window, click Install to start the installation.
On the Install Completed window, click Finish.
Updating workstations
Workstations are updated automatically as part of this hotfix if auto-updates are enabled. If auto-updates are disabled in your environment, run a workstation install on all workstations.
Follow the steps for the product and setup you use:
Log in to the workstation as an administrator.
Navigate to the setup.exe file on your server or computer where the server installation was performed:
AE: \MYOBAE\AESQL\WorkstationInstall\setup.exe
AO: \MYOBAO\AOSQL\WorkstationInstall\setup.exe
Series 6/8: \Centralclient\setup.exe
Double-click setup.exe.
In the Software licence agreement window:
Select I have read and accept the licence agreement
Click Next.
In the Ready to Install window click Install Now. The Installation Progress window opens.
On completion, the Installation Complete window opens.
Click Finish. The workstation installation is complete.
If you receive an “Open file security” warning message when opening MYOB Accountants Enterprise on a workstation, click Run or OK.
Terminal server
Log in to the terminal server console.
Open Control Panel > Classic View.
Click Install Application on Terminal Server.
Click Add New Programs.
Navigate to the setup.exe file on your server or computer where the server installation was performed:
AE: \MYOBAE\AESQL\WorkstationInstall\setup.exe
AO: \MYOBAO\AOSQL\WorkstationInstall\setup.exe.
Series 6/8: \Centralclient\setup.exe
Double-click setup.exe.
In the Software licence agreement window, select I have read and accept the licence agreement and click Next.
In the Ready to Install window, click Install Now.
The Installation Progress window opens.
If you receive the message, If you receive an “Open file security” warning message when opening MYOB Accountants Enterprise Workstation, it is recommended that you restart your computer, click OK.
On completion, the Installation Complete window opens.
Click Finish. The workstation installation is complete.
Reboot the terminal server.

Confirm a successful installation
On your server or workstation, go to the Central\Deploy folder.
