In MYOB Assets Live, you might experience the error: ‘Could not cast or convert from system,String to System.Collection.Generic.List [System.String]’ when trying to sell an asset.
We're aware of this issue and working on a solution.
Until it is fixed, as a workaround view the asset in the browser and sell it.
Workaround
To view the asset in a browser

Go to the client and select Client accounting > Assets tab.

On the Tasks bar, under the Online menu select View in browser. The Assets online opens.

Click the asset you want to sell and select the ellipses […]on the right-hand side and select Sell.

Enter the details in Sell an asset window and click Confirm.
The asset is sold. This will be updated in client accounting in MYOB AE/AO.
