Error: "DS6OP060 ..." when opening a tax return or System Release

This support note applies to:

  • AE MAS (AU)

In MYOB AE/AO, you may experience one of the following errors when either opening System Release or when opening a tax return:

  • Error "DS6OP060 Corrupt"
  • Error "DS6OP060 Bad Link"
  • Error "DS6OP060 (Record Being Accessed)"

The DS6OP060 file contains the System Release activity log.

To resolve these issues, navigate to your SOL64 folder and rename the DS6OP060 file to .old.

To rename the DS6OP060 file to .old

Ensure all users are logged out of AE and System Release before performing this procedure.

  1. Open Windows File Explorer and navigate to:

    • AE: X:\SOL64 or MYOBAE\AESQL\TAX folder.

    • AO: MYOBAO\AOSQL\TAX folder.

      If you're not sure where your SOL64 or TAX folder is located, see Finding the SOL64 or Tax directory.

  2. Right-click on the DS6OP060 file and choose Rename.
  3. Type DS6OP060.old and press ENTER. The file is renamed.

You can now open System Release or Tax without any error.
