Error: "HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component" when printing from PDF Manager

In MYOB PDF Manager you may experience the error "HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component" when printing from PDF Manager.  A subsequent error may appear "System.Windows.Forms.AxHost+InvalidActiveXStateException was thrown".

These errors appear when you click the Print link via the Task bar and the document selected will not print. This is a result of broken program links between Adobe Reader and PDF Manager.

To resolve these errors, perform one of the following:

Terminal Server To re-create the users Terminal Server Profile.  For details please contact your IT professional.
Windows workstations

Firstly, you will need to uninstall Adobe Reader and PDF Manager.  Then reinstall Adobe Reader and PDF Manager. For details on how to uninstall and reinstall PDF Manager, refer to Uninstalling and reinstalling PDF Manager on a workstation
