Error: "Login failed for user VPMUSER"

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise Practice Manager (AE PM) you may experience the error "ClientFramework - Login failed for user 'VPMUSER" when AE PM on any workstation.

This error occurs when there are issues with the vpmuser account on the vpmser database.

To resolve this error, run the Create user.sql over the vpmser database. For more details, refer to Running a script through SQL Server Management Studio

This issue normally occurs if you have moved or restored the vpmser database.

MYOB INTERNAL STAFF ONLY

Check the lookup.xml is pointing to the correct server and database.

If still problem, access SQL Server Management Studio Express > Security > Logins > vpmuser, right click and select Properties > Status > remove the tick from 'Login is locked out' under the heading of Status.

If still no access, need to delete the VPMUSER account from under Logins and also within vpmuser, then run Create User.sql over vpmser db.
