In MYOB Corporate Compliance you may receive the error "This is not a valid CC instance" in the backupccdatabases.log file when reviewing why your Windows Scheduled Task to backup Corporate Compliance, has failed.

The BackupCCDatabases.exe is the file used by the Windows Task Scheduler to regularly backup the Corporate Compliance database. This task can only backup Corporate Compliance databases that are stored within a named instance such as MYOBACCT, and does not backup Corporate Compliance when it is installed to the default SQL instance.

MYOB is investigating this issue.

You can manually backup Corporate Compliance from within the backup module on the Corporate Compliance server.  For more details refer to Performing a backup or restore of Corporate Compliance.

Alternatively, you may prefer to utilize the backup features within MS Server Management Studio.  Please refer to your IT consultant for information on how to backup using this method.
