Improving the speed of printing reports in AE Assets

Make sure you know what you're doing and are using one of the products listed. If you're not sure, ask your IT professional or MYOB.

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) Assets, you may experience slowness when printing reports from AE Assets such as the Taxation Schedule, Additions & Disposals Report and the GL Reconciliation Report.

To improve the speed of printing reports, we recommend the following tips:

• Make sure you are using the latest printer driver for the selected printer. For information, refer to your printer manufacturer web site or, speak to your IT Professional to download and install the latest driver.
• Turn off Opportunistic locking on the server and on all workstations. Steps to disable Opportunistic locking can be found in KB 34204: Turning off opportunistic locking.
  
• If you have printers appearing on your printer list that are no longer used, remove these old printers from the Windows Registry. More information can be found in Removing printers from System Release.
