Restoring a backup of AE Tax using Datasafe

If you use Contacts to access MYOB Accountants Enterprise Tax, you can restore your data using Datasafe. Datasafe only lets you restore via the SQL server, not a workstation

Before you begin

Make sure all users have exited all MYOB software.

To restore a backup of AE Tax using Datasafe
  1. To restore a backup for another database, select the database that you want to restore.
  2. In Windows, go to Start > Programs > MYOB Accountants Enterprise > Datasafe. The Datasafe Utilities window appears.
  3. In the Current online backups section, select the backup that you want to restore.
  4. Click Restore. The Database Restore window appears.
  5. Ensure the Restore full database option is selected and click OK. The Database Restore window appears while the data gets restored.
