These instructions require technical expertise

Make sure you know what you're doing and are using one of the products listed. If you're not sure, ask your IT professional or MYOB.

In MYOB you may find that the SaveWithContact option is missing or inactive in Microsoft Word and Excel.

The MYOB AE workstation install has options to run a complete or custom installation. If you choose custom, you can choose to install the MYOB AE Save with Contacts add in, and the Outlook add in features.

If in the process of the installation, the user logged into the workstation has insufficient permissions, or there are environmental settings such as Anti-Virus programs or similar that are limiting the users permissions, then it may not apply the required registry settings on the workstation to allow Save with Contacts to work correctly.  In this instance, you will have to manually set the registry settings to rectify the issue.

This process requires editing of the Windows Registry. MYOB recommends that the process be carried out by a technician or someone familiar with the use of the Windows Registry Editor. You should also log on to the workstation as the Domain Administrator user account 'Administrator', to guarantee that you have full admin rights to the affected workstation.

If Save with contacts is still missing from Word and Excel after making the changes in the steps above

You will need to again check that the values for the LoadBehavior keys for Word and Excel listed above. If the change in value to a 3 has not held in the registry settings, it will mean that an environmental setting on the workstation is blocking changes to the registry. You will need to refer the issue to your 3rd party IT person to check that your anti virus and other system security settings are not blocking the changes to the registry settings.
