Purge Data by Batch

The Purge Data utility deletes data in bulk from the Tax Tracking System database. The Batch selection is the most suitable for deleting a Return's Steps.

How to purge data by batch
  1. Select Utilities > Purge Data ... .The Purge Data dialog opens.
  2. Select the Batch option and click the OK button. The Select Transactions to Purge dialog opens.
  3. While pressing the Ctrl key click on the steps to be purged. The Shift + Arrow Up or Arrow Down keys can also be used to select Returns.
  4. Click OK to view a Print Preview of the Report.

Once the Report has been printed the Returns are purged from Tax Tracking.

Purge Data by Range

The Purge Data utility deletes data in bulk from the Tax Tracking System database. There are two types of record selection ranges available, Normal and Alternate, to select the data to be purged from when using the range option.

How to purge data by range
  1. Select Utilities > Purge Data ... The Purge Data dialog opens.
  2. Select the Range option and choose from the Normal or Alternate Index options. The Print dialog opens.
  3. In the Print dialog choose Print. The Record Selection dialog opens.
  4. Choose the Sequence type and Range.
  5. Click OK to print the report.

Once the Range has been set a report is generated listing the Returns to be purged from Tax Tracking. When the report has been printed the data is purged.
