AUSkey decommissioning
What you need to know:
The ATO is decommissioning AUSkey on 27 March 2020.- If you’re using Lodgment Manager to lodge, you don’t need to do anything.
- If you're using AUSkey Authentication to lodge, you can’t lodge after 27 March 2020. Talk to your client manager about how to upgrade your practice.

Since the closure of the ELS Gateways, the Security tab is only used for the Agent to select the Default AUSkey Radio button. All other references to ELS should be ignoed.

| Tax Agent Report Request | No longer used since ELS shutdown |
| ELS Approval Code | This field is used to enter or change the ELS approval code for the default agent. This code is issued by the ATO and indicates that your practice is approved to lodge via ELS. This is needed for lodging some prior year returns which are wrapped and lodged via PLS. It is stored in the Lodgment Tracking table. |
| ELS Lodgment office | This drop down list is used to select the office of lodgment the ATO has assigned to your practice. This is needed for lodging some prior year returns which are wrapped and lodged via PLS. |
| ATO Code 1 | This field displays ATO Code 1 which is used by the ATO to identify the operator as a valid user. The code is provided by the ATO. |
| ATO Code 2 | This field displays ATO Code 2 which is used by the ATO to identify the operator as a valid user. The code is provided by the ATO. This is entered in the Passwords tab |
| ELS User ID | This field is used to enter the ELS User ID. This is the 'login name' for the ATO CEG and is related to the ELS Approval Code (number). |
| DIS Password | This field is used to display the DIS password. The DIS password and ID enable you to login to the ATO CEG. |

| Select AUSkey | You need to browse to Keystore.xml when you select this Radio button. The ATO plans to decommission AUSkey on March 26 2020. By this time you'll need to have transitioned to CloudAuth/ |
Click Utilities > Lodgment Setup > Security Tab.
Enter your ELS Approval Code provided by the ATO.
The ATO Code 1 is automatically displayed and is based on the ELS Approval Code.
The ATO Code 2 is automatically displayed and can be entered in the Passwords tab.
The CEG addresses automatically pre-fill based on the ELS Approval Code.Enter the Lodgment Office recommended by the ATO.
Enter your ELS User ID provided by the ATO.
Click OK.
