Deleting an asset location

1. Open the Assets Listing page. See Opening an asset year.
2. Select Maintenance > Association > Location on the main menu. The Maintenance - Location window opens.
3. Select the asset location to be deleted. The entire location row must be highlighted.
4. Press [Delete]. A message is displayed requesting confirmation of the deletion.
5. Click Yes. The confirmation message closes and the location is deleted from the Location table.

If a location is to be deleted but is associated with an asset, you must first re-assign the asset(s) to a different location(s). Once the asset location is not associated with any assets, it can be deleted.

1. Open the Assets Listing page. See Opening an asset year.
2. Create a new asset location, if required. See Creating a new asset location.
3. Re-assign the assets that are associated with the location to be deleted, to a different location. See Editing the general details of an asset.
4. Delete the asset location. See To delete an asset location that has no associations above.
