Migrating MYOB AE AMS data

If there are any journals posted in the migrated ledger, you may see duplicated journals posted if you resubmit journals via MYOB Assets Live. A warning message will be logged in Migration Log.

For AU, if there are any pooled assets, they will be migrated as general assets and will be depreciated individually. Ensure that you are using a MYOB AE AMS asset register that is from 2013 onwards.

If you need help migrating data, click Help me migrate a ledger in the Migrate Data window.

To migrate MYOB AE AMS data
  1. Exit MYOB AE AMS before you start the migration process.

  2. In integrated mode, configure the client’s financial data source to be a MAS ledger. See Configuring a MAS ledger. The ledger codes associated with the MAS ledger in MYOB AE AMS will be displayed in MYOB Assets Live.

  3. Access an asset register from MYOB Assets Live. See Accessing an asset register.

  4. Select Migrate data on the TASKS bar. The Migrate Data window opens.

  5. Select AE AMS asset register from the Product drop-down. Only the asset registered integrated with MAS are supported for migration.

  6. Select your MYOB AE AMS asset register.

  7. If you are integrated with a MAS:

    1. Click ellipsis button at the end of AE AMS asset register field. The list of existing ledger codes for the asset register will be displayed.

    2. Select a ledger code.

    3. Click OK. The following Ledger details are automatically filled from the selected MYOB AE AMS asset register:

      • Name

      • Year end

      • Start date

      • End date.

  8. Click OK. As the migration process starts a Migration details section will appear on the Assets tab, below the General ledger details section. You can view the status of migration process and see the results of the migration.
