In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) and Accountants Office (AO) Tax you may need to reset your Tax data files in certain circumstances.
If you have been instructed to do this by Support or from another support article, use the following instructions to reset your Tax data files.
This process will result in clearing the 2019 tax return data (i.e. the return status and lodgment due dates).
Once you have reset your Tax 2019 database you will need to perform the Year End Routine.

Click the Folders option from the Navigation Bar.
If the Folders window does not appear, click the Administration link on the Navigation Bar; then the Folders option.
- Select the Tax folder with the reference AETAX1 or AOTAX1 and press Enter.
- Right-click on the Tax 2019 ledger and select Rebuild. The message "Ledger has been operated on since backup. Continue?" appears. Click Yes. The Data rebuild/reset utility window appears.

Click OK. The message "Warning: You have elected to reset some database components. This will result in any existing data stored therein being deleted. Are you sure you wish to proceed?"
Click Yes. The 2019 tax database files are reset. You'll now need to run the Year End Routine.
2. Run the Year End Routine
After resetting your tax database files as per the previous procedure, from System Release, double click the Tax 2019 ledger. The year-end routine appears.
- Follow the Year End Routine prompts to complete the process. Detailed instructions on how to manually execute the Year End Routine are available in Running the Year End Routine manually for Tax
The 2019 PLS Tax tables will need to be recreated. Call our support team for assistance with this procedure.
