This support note applies to:
- AO Tax (AU)
- AE Tax (AU)
In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) and Accountants Office (AO) version 5.4.25, you may receive the warning message "MYOB update service is out of date. You can continue to use MYOB Accountants Office, but will need to re-run workstation install manually to update this service." when logging into AO.
To eliminate this warning message disable your anti-virus software temporarily, then perform a workstation setup. For information on how to perform a workstation setup refer to the following articles:

If you continue to experience this issue after performing a workstation setup, contact us and quote KB 38981.
MYOB INTERNAL STAFF ONLY
If after performing a manual workstation setup the error is still occurring, perform the following steps:
Locate and open your InstallConfig.ini in notepad. This is located in the following folders depending on whether the client is AE or AO.
2. Then ensure it has at least one entry of AF=1 under [INSTALLED_FEATURES] section.
Then check it also has [AF_SERVER] section which is configured to point to your Central and Deploy folders.
Once this has been done please redo the server install of 2017.1
