The Practitioner Lodgment Service (PLS) is a framework for lodgment of forms to the ATO.
In MYOB AO, lodgment is done via the Lodgment Manager. For more information, see Lodging using Lodgment Manager.
Which lodgment system do I use? (AE)
If you have a tax database that is not integrated into MYOB Accountants Enterprise (Practice Manager):
you will use AUSkey to lodge returns from that database (see Lodging using AUSkey).
Otherwise:
you will use Lodgment Manager to lodge returns (see Lodging using Lodgment Manager).
The installation process automatically detects your environment to determine which solution is best for you.
When your practice uses multiple databases (AE)
If your practice uses multiple databases, and a tax database is not integrated into MYOB Accountants Enterprise (Practice Manager), you will use both lodgment methods.
For the non-integrated tax database, you will be lodging returns inside Tax using AUSkey.
For other tax databases, you will lodge returns using Lodgment Manager.
