Multiple tasks generated for addresses shared in MYOB AE/AO

If a change is made in MYOB AE/AO to an address that is shared by another person or corporation, separate tasks will be generated in the Changes from AE/Changes from AO module for every other person or corporation that shares the address.

If you then generate and complete a form from one of the shared change of address tasks (as detailed in the instructions below), all other people or corporations affected by the change will be included. The task you used as the basis for the form, and all related tasks, will then be deleted from the Changes from AE/Changes from AO module.

For example, M. Brown shares her address in MYOB AE/AO with P. Brown. If you change M. Brown’s address in MYOB AE/AO, two separate change of address tasks will be generated in the Changes from AE/Changes from AO module. If you then generate a form using one of the tasks (e.g., M. Brown’s task), then P. Brown will be included in M. Brown’s form. When the form is generated and completed, both tasks will be deleted from the Changes from AE/Changes from AO screen.

How to generate a form in the Changes from AE/Changes from AO module

Select a task from the list.
Click Generate form.
If the change relates to a person, the Notify change of name or address wizard opens (see Notifying ASIC of changes to names or addresses).
If the change relates to a corporation the Notify change of address wizard opens (see Notifying ASIC of corporate changes of address).
Complete the wizard and lodge the form (see Completing forms and Forms lodgement).

After you have generated a form and completed it (as outlined above), the task will be deleted from the Changes from AE/Changes from AO screen. Additional tasks that were generated as a result of a change to a shared address will also be deleted.
