Error: "KMSystray Document Manager is not Licensed" when logging into Windows

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise Document Manager you may experience the error "KMSystray Document Manager is not Licensed" when logging into Windows.

This error can appear due to a number of reasons.

Complete each task below, in the order provided, until the error is resolved:

Check if DM is a registered product

On the server, navigate to the following program:

  1. Start > All Programs > MYOB > Registration. The Register MYOB Products appears.
  2. Check that Document Manager is listed under The following products are already registered section.

If Document Manager is not listed as a registered product, call our Support Team.

Manually start the KMSystray.exe

To manually start the KMSytray.exe:

  1. Navigate to the following program Start > All Programs > MYOB > a.
  2. Double click on Document Manager Shortcuts. MYOB Document Manager appears in the system tray.

If the error persists, it is recommended to reboot the server.

Uninstall and reinstall Practice Manager and Document Manager on the workstation

If you are still experiencing the error after completing the above tasks, then it is recommended to uninstall and reinstall Practice Manager and Document Manager.

The issue can occur when the kmsystray tries to load before the network paths to AE/AO are active.

You could get your IT professional to remove kmsystray from the startup and run it manually when required or try to delay it from starting up when the machine is started.
