When operating System Release products, such as Tax, you may encounter the error "System Release Runtime Loader has encounter an error and needs to close" and the program closes. This can occur in more than one area. The following lists several scenarios when this error may occur and how to resolve it in each situation.
When opening System Release or a System Release product
Log on as the user and from the Startmenu selectRun. The Run window opens.
Type cmd in the Open field and press ENTER. The Command Prompt window opens.
Type set home and press ENTER. The location of the HOMEDRIVE and HOMEPATH are displayed.
Make a note of these locations.
Open Windows Explorer or Computer and browse to each of the above locations. The Files and folders contained appear.
Open the Windows folder then right-click on the sol6sr.ini file and select Delete. The sol6sr.ini file is deleted. You are now able to open SystemRelease.
If a Windows directory containing a sol6sr.ini file in not located using the set home command use the set windir command to locate the Windows directory and then look for the sol6sr.ini file in there. If the error persists, mark the sol6sr.ini file as Read-Only.

This issue can occur intermittently and is being investigated by MYOB.
When Maximising a minimised instance of a System Release product
To avoid this issue, you can change whether the tax return window is opened to a maximised or minimised state by default. You do this by changing the window size setting in the sol6sr.ini file.
To change whether tax returns open in maximised or minimised window:
Navigate to the default sol6sr.ini file location. The default location depends on whether you are using a workstation or terminal server:
Change the last number in the OPWindow line to your preferred setting:
0 means tax returns will open at minimised window size.
1 means tax returns will open at maximised window size.
If you're changing the setting using the file on a terminal server, change the file for each user wanting the change.
If you have trouble changing or saving the sol6sr.ini file, you might have to copy it to the desktop, make the change and then copy the file back again to the default location.
