As part of our environment compatibility process, MYOB has tested and evaluated the use of Microsoft Office 2010 with the latest versions of MYOB products.
In all test cases, a standard installation of both the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Microsoft Office 2010 and MYOB software was performed.
Listed below are issues that have been identified when using some MYOB products with Microsoft Office 2010. Where applicable, a solution or work-around is also provided.
As each practice is unique, we recommend reading the issues identified and assessing if Office 2010 is appropriate for use.
To confirm whether your MS Office 2010 installation is 32-bit or 64-bit:
MS Outlook 2010 sets a registry key named Bitness of type REG_SZ on the computer on which it is installed. The Bitness registry key indicates whether the Outlook 2010 installation is 32-bit or 64-bit.
Access the workstation's registry to check as per the details below:
Registry path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook
Registry key: Bitness
Value: either x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit)
