Bookmarks do not just link to locations within the same PDFs. “Special” bookmarks can be added which allow users to jump to a page in another PDF, to open a file, or to open a webpage.
To add a jump to a page in another PDF

Select a document in the Source Documents tab.

Click the Document Mark Up tab. The document will open in the Document Mark Up tab.

Click the Bookmarks tab to the left of the document. The Bookmarks pane opens.

Create a new bookmark (see Adding bookmarks) or select an existing bookmark.

Right-click the bookmark and select Properties... The Bookmark Properties dialog opens.

Click the Actions tab.

Select Go to a page in another document from the drop-down list.

Click Add. The Go to a page in another document field box opens.

Click Browse. The Open dialog appears.

Browse and select the document that you want the bookmark to open.

Click Open.

Enter the page number you want to open at in the other document in the Options field.

When finished, click Save. The Save PDF window opens.

Browse to the location where you want to save the PDF.

Enter the filename you want to use in the Save As window

Click Save on the Save As window. The Save As window closes and the Save PDF window reappears.

Click OK.
To open a file
-
Select a document in the Source Documents tab.

Click the Document Mark Up tab. The document will open in the Document Mark Up tab.

Click the Bookmarks tab to the left of the document. The Bookmarks pane opens.

Create a new bookmark (see Adding bookmarks) or select an existing bookmark.

Right-click the bookmark and select Properties... The Bookmark Properties dialog opens.

Click the Actions tab.

Select Open a file from the drop-down list.

Click Add. The Open dialog opens.

Browse to and select the document you want the bookmark to open.

Click Open and then Close the Bookmark Properties dialog.

When finished, click Save to open the Save PDF window.

Browse to the location where you want to save the PDF.

Enter the file name you want to use on the Save As window

Click Save on the Save As window. The Save As window closes and the Save PDF window reappears.

Click OK.
To open a web page
-
Select a document in the Source Documents tab.

Click the Document Mark Up tab. The document will open in the Document Mark Up tab.

Click the Bookmarks tab to the left of the document. The Bookmarks pane opens.

Create a new bookmark (see Adding bookmarks) or select an existing bookmark.

Right-click the bookmark and select Properties... The Bookmark Properties dialog opens.

Click the Actions tab.

Select Open a web link from the drop-down list.

Click Add. The Edit URL dialog opens.

Enter the URL of the website/email address you want the bookmark to open. The URL can either be a web page address (http:) or an email address (mailto:).

Click OK and then Close the Bookmark Properties dialog.

When finished, click Save to open the Save PDF window.

Browse to the location where you want to save the PDF.
