- Select PDF Manager menu > Tools > Options. The Options window opens.
Click the Scan Options button. The Scan Options window opens.
Deselect the Apply image processing… checkbox to use the Default option and disable the slider. If you want to use this option, click OK.

Select the Apply image processing… check box to enable the slider so you can select one of the other options.
Drag the slider up or down to select one of the following:
High — high image quality, but longer scanning and processing times and larger file size. Click OK to use this option and exit.
Standard — average image quality, with average scanning and processing times and average file size. Click OK to use this option and exit.
Low — low quality, but faster scanning and processing times and smaller file size. Click OK to use this option and exit.
Custom — define your own settings.
Click the Custom Preference button to open the Custom Preferences window. See Scanning option details for more details of settings.
Adjust the Deskew Settings:
Increase the value to reduce quality, scanning time and file size.
Reduce the value to increase quality, scanning time and file size.
Adjust the three Despeckle Settings:
Increase the value to reduce quality, scanning time and file size.
Reduce the value to increase quality, scanning time and file size.
Adjust the Image Processing Settings— DPI:
Increase the value to increase quality, scanning time and file size.
Reduce the value to reduce quality, scanning time and file size.
Adjust the Image Processing Settings— Compression Quality:
Increase the value to increase quality, scanning time and file size.
Reduce the value to reduce quality, scanning time and file size.
Click OK when finished
or
Click Reset to discard your custom changes and reset the window.
