Opening the Add Assignment Wizard

Accountants Enterprise only

You can open the Add Assignment Wizard in a number of ways.

  • Create a new client with the Create Client Wizard. When the Client page opens for the first time, click Yes to open the Add Assignment Wizard.

  • (Practice Manager) Click Click here to add a new job on the first row of the table on the Job Manager homepage.

  • Click Click here to add new... on the first row of the table on the client page > Assignments tab.

  • Click Create assignment on the Tasks bar.

To open the Add Assignment Wizard after adding a new client or contact

  1. Create a new client or contact using the Create Client or Create Contact Wizard. See Creating a new client/contact using the wizard (AO) or Creating a new client/contact/supplier using the wizard (AE).

  2. Click Finish after you have added information for all mandatory fields and other known information for the new client/contact. The client/contact is saved and the wizard closes. The Add Assignment message opens.

  3. Click Yes. The Add Assignment wizard opens at Step 1 Create Assignment for Client/Contact.

To open the Add Assignment Wizard from the Job Manager homepage (Practice Manager)

  1. Click Jobs on the toolbar. The Job Manager opens.

  2. Click Click here to add a new job on the empty first row of the Job Sheet table. The Add Assignment wizard opens at Step 1 — Create Assignment for Client/Contact.

To open the Add Assignment Wizard from the Client page > Assignments tab

  1. Find and open the client. See Finding and opening clients and contacts. The Client page opens.

  2. Click the Assignments tab.

  3. Click Click here to add new... on the empty first row of the table under the Code column. The Add Assignment wizard opens on Step 1 — Create Assignment for Client.
