Pre-fill reports downloaded in July may contain unfinalised income statements (previously called "Payment summaries"). The warning “Data received is not the employer’s final payroll data for the current reporting period” appears in the Pre-fill report PDF.
An Unfinalised income statement means that your client's employer has not completed or confirmed this year's payroll data for their employee. The employer might still have payments or adjustments to process with the ATO. Most businesses have until 31 July to finalise the income statement.
Unfinalised data won't be pre-filled into a tax return.
