Viewing information about MYOB AE Assets 2.4 migration

Australia only

Once the migration process is complete, you can view the migration log at any time in the future from the View migration log option on the Tasks bar. As this option will always be enabled for asset registers that contain migrated data. The migration builds a migration log of messages.

The following situations cause the migration to fail and the Status to show a red X:

Migration has failed

Error written to the Migration log

Internet connection failure while doing migration

Unknown error occurred.

In this case the migration may have completed.

These conditions do not stop the migration from completing:

Condition

Warning written to the Migration log

If a sub Asset is migrated then there will be a difference in tally resulting in the warning.

For example, if the ledger has the following:

  • Asset 1 - Normal Asset

  • Asset 2 - Control Asset

  • Asset 3 - Sub Asset

  • Asset 4 - Sub Asset

Asset 2 control asset will not be migrated. But all the related sub Assets will migrate as normal assets.

In this case the Status shows a Yellow !.

Warning message recorded reads

“Control asset has not been migrated but all it’s sub assets have been migrated.”

No action is required.

These situations do not stop the migration from completing and the Status shows a Green Tick:

Condition

Message written to the Migration log

Assets that have been sold in the prior year will cause a difference in the tally of the assets.

In this case the Status shows a green tick.

No warning is recorded in the log.

No action is required.
