IR8 Who has to file a return?

All entities that have elected to become a Maori authority for the 2018-2019 income year must file a tax return each year, whether they’ve received income or not. If the authority hasn’t received any income, please:

• fill in page 1 of the IR8 return, and

• sign the declaration on page 6.
