Adobe Reader - The document's page tree contains an invalid node

Documents showing Adobe Reader information message - "The document's page tree contains an invalid node". And an option to press 'OK' then the documents open ok.

Some documents open an Adobe Reader message - "The document's page tree contains an invalid node". And an option to press "OK" then the documents open ok.

The documents may have the following:

  • Bookmarks
  • File notes
  • Securing setting

After pressing OK the document opens Ok.

When printing to PDF manager the document opens as blank page/s (depending on the size of the document) and an error message at the last page:

OFFENDING COMMAND: eexec

STACK: /quit -dictionary-mark

To fix
  1. Open the PDF document and select File > Print. The Print dialog box opens.
  2. Select MYOB PDF Manager as the printer and click 'Advanced' button at the bottom of the screen. The Advanced Print Setup window opens.
  3. Tick 'Print as Image' checkbox and click 'Ok'. The Advanced Print Setup window closes.
  4. Click Ok. The Print dialog box closes.

The document will now appear in PDF Manager.
