Error: "Sorry, an error occurred while processing letters ... Description: Executing Merge - Permission denied" when printing Tax Letters

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise Tax (AE Tax) you may experience the error "Sorry, an error occurred while processing letters. Description: Executing Merge - Permission denied" when printing Tax Letters.

To print the Tax Letters, you will need to give Full Control security rights to the C:\WINDOWS\TEMP or C:\WINNT\TEMP folder on the affected computer(s).

To apply Full Control security permissions

At the Windows desktop, right-click on the Start button and select FileExplorer.
Using File Explorer, navigate to the C:\WINDOWS folder.

If you have changed the TEMP variable in Microsoft Windows to another place, other than C:\WINDOWS\TEMP, this location's security needs to be changed.

Right click on the Temp folder and select Properties. The Temp Properties window appears.
Click the Security tab.
Highlight Users, then select the Allow checkbox next to Full Control. The Allow checkbox is ticked along with all the boxes below and full control is applied to the Users security group for the C:\Windows\Temp folder.
Click OK to save and close the window.
Re-print the relevant letter.
