Error: "TaxMerge has encountered a problem and needs to close"

In MYOB Tax, you may get the error "TaxMerge has encountered a problem and needs to close" when generating a tax letter.

This error occurs when the version of Microsoft Word you're using is no longer compatible with tax letters such as Microsoft Office 2003 (XP), 2007 or 2010.
