Error: "Sorry, the dots just don't join up right now. This page is temporarily unavailable. Please try again shortly"

In the MYOB Portal you may experience the following error "Sorry, the dots just don't join up right now. This page is temporarily unavailable. Please try again shortly" when attempting to add a client to a portal.

This error may occur if OnTheGo API is not running on the server or when an employee my.login needs refreshing.

To restart OnTheGo API

This error occurs due to the OnTheGo API Service on the server is not running. To fix this error you need to restart the OnTheGo API Service on the server.

To refresh an employee my.login

Perform the following instructions from MYOB AE or AO.

  1. Have an MYOB Administrator or Super User log into AE or AO. You are logged into MYOB.
  2. Follow the menu path: Contacts > Employees > click Search.  The Find Employees tab displays a list of all current Employees.
  3. Double click on the relevant employee. The Employee details appear.
  4. From the Tasks Panel click on Edit my.MYOB details. The Edit MYOB Login window opens.
  5. Under the section 'This employee has an MYOB login', note the email address and then remove it from the MYOB Login field and click Ok.
  6. From the Tasks Panel click on Edit my.MYOB details. The Edit MYOB Login window opens.
  7. Re-type the email address removed in Step 5 and click Ok. The Employee MYOB Login is updated.

    Adding back the same email address will ensure that all pre-established connections to your clients accounting data files are maintained.
