Error: "String ERROR_[name] was not found in string table"

When installing MYOB Accountants Office you may get one of the following errors:

String ERROR_COMPONENT was not found in string table
- or -
String ERROR_FILEGROUP was not found in string table
- or -
String ERROR_FILE was not found in string table

These may occur in the following circumstances:

Windows 7/8 workstation network update to server

Users may encounter this problem when installing MYOB Accountants Office to the network (server) drive from a workstation running Windows 7 or 8 operating system.

This may be caused by restrictions controlled by User Account Control (UAC) introduced in Windows Vista operating system.

To resolve this run the following steps:

Disable UAC (temporarly). For details refer to Disabling User Account Control (UAC).
Restart the Workstation to apply the UAC change
Once UAC has been disabled it is recommended to delete the setup.ini file from the MYOBAO folder (i.e. X:/MYOBAO/).
On the installer right-click and select Run as Administrator.

On Windows Server 2008/2011/2012 server network update to server

Users may encounter this problem when installing MYOB Accountants Office to the network (server) drive when logged on to the server running Server 2008 operating system.

This may be caused by restrictions controlled by User Account Control (UAC) introduced in Server 2008 operating system.

To resolve this run the following steps:

Disable UAC (temporarly). For details refer to Disabling User Account Control (UAC).
Restart the Server to apply the UAC change
Once UAC has been disabled it is recommended to delete the setup.ini file from the MYOBAO folder (i.e. X:/MYOBAO/).
On the installer right-click and select Run as Administrator.
