Error: "1306: Another application has exclusive access to the file ...\proto\master.cpi"

This support note applies to:

• Profiles (AU)
• AE Tax Series 6 & 8 (AU)

When installing Solution 6 Integrated Release you may experience the following error "Error 1306. Another application has exclusive access to the file ....\proto\master.cpi. Please shutdown other applications and select retry."

The error message displayed is caused by one or more Microsoft applications still running. Please make sure the following applications are closed on all workstations.

• Word
• Excel
• Outlook.

If these applications are closed and the error persists, reboot the server.
