Error: "XXXXX is an AE Tax field and cannot be updated. The transaction ended in the trigger. The batch has been aborted"

If you have added in new Extra Types and then tried to attach these Extra Types to AE Tax fields under Extra Lists and Extra Fields, you will see the following example error:

"BAS/IAS Client is an AETax field and cannot be updated. The transaction ended in the trigger. The batch has been aborted"

How to resolve the error

Go to Maintenance > User Defined > Extra Types, amend the Extra Type called "Additional Info" to Compliance for example, so that this is the default Extra Type attached to all Extra Lists/Extra Fields.
Add in any additional Extra Types that you use to classify your Extras and then attach / link them to your custom Extra Fields/Lists via:
- Maintenance > User Defined > Extra Lists or;
- Maintenance > User Defined > Extra Fields.

Suggested Extra Types are Marketing, Financial and Other.

This workaround is applicable to Compliance Integration (Integration Monitor) and AC3 sites only because of the integration triggers in them.
