Error: "Import Abandoned" when importing an MYOB.txt file from Xero

When you import an MNYOB.txt file from Xero into MYOB Accountants Office (AO) Classic General Ledger, you may receive the message "Import abandoned".

This issue is caused by account codes containing alpha characters (letters).

To resolve this issue, modify the account codes in Xero to display only numeric characters.

For example, using the account code 680A - Bank Account #1 and 680B - Bank Account #2, to successfully import transactions into AO General Ledger you can edit the account codes to read 680 and 681.
