Error: "API status code 422 account_type_group_id must belong to account type 'equity'" when migrating to AE/AO Ledger

When attempting to migrate to MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) or Accountants Office (AO) Ledger you may experience that the Migration Status appears as Failed. Selecting the View migration log will then display the error "Error API status code 422 account_type_group_id must belong to account type "xxxxxx'" .

This error appears when migrating from a MAS, Accounts or AO Classic General Ledger and can be caused by:

an incorrect system account being selected on the Migrate data window for that product's Chart of Accounts, or
the system accounts the migration is attempting to create is already present in the legacy ledger.

To resolve this issue, click Migrate data and check that the accounts used on the Migrate data window are correct using the tables below for the entity type and product Chart of Accounts selected.
