Error: "Word cannot create or save this file. Make sure the disk that you want to save the file on is not full, write-protected or damaged"

When trying to preview an invoice or printing a Tax receipt, you might see the error: "Word cannot create or save this file. Make sure the disk that you want to save the file on is not full, write-protected or damaged".

This could mean that a user doesn't have full permissions to the Bills folder or Tax receipts folder.

All you need to do is make sure that the user has full read/write permissions to the Bills folder. For eg., M:\VPMINST\BILLS or M:\VPMINST\Tax Receipts.

Bills	Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Documents > Mailing Settings Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Documents > Document Creation Settings The Word Billing Algorithm is used in conjunction with the Billing Startup Path. The Billing Startup Path points to M:\VPMINST\Bills and the Word Billing Algorithm has '[CC]'. This means bills are stored under M:\VPMINST\Bills\ABB001 i.e.as '[CC]' represents the Client Code. If the Word Billing Algorithm contains a path which is different to the Billing Startup Path, the Word Billing Algorithm overrides the reference in the Billing Startup Path and this is the location to check.
