Document Manager Toolbar function keys greyed out in Excel

This support note applies to:

• AO Document Manager (AU)
• AO Document Manager (NZ)
• AE Document Manager (NZ)
• AE Document Manager (AU)

In MYOB Document Manager (DM) you may experience that the DMtoolbar options is greyed out in Microsoft Excel after you have opened another excel document that has a status of Complete/Approved.

This issue can appear when the following actions are taken within an opened In Progress excel document:

• The hyperlink within the document to open a Document Manager managed excel document is selected or
  
• When you navigate to DM and open an Complete/Approved excel document.

Once you return back to the original document the DMtoolbar options is greyed out.

To resolve this issue save any changes to the original file, close and reopen the excel file from DM.  The DMtoolbar functionality will appear.
