Error: "Cannot open reporter-Program files required to open Reporter could not be found. Please ensure Reporter and Masters have been installed" when accessing Reporter

This support note applies to:

  • AE Reporter (NZ)

  • AE Reporter (AU)

When accessing MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) Reporter on a workstation you may experience the following errors:

  • "Cannot open MYOB AE Reporter-Program files required to open Reporter could not be found. Please ensure Reporter and Masters have been installed"

  • "512: The system cannot find the file specified"

This indicates that AE Reporter has not been set up to operate on the affected workstation.

To be able to use AE Reporter on the affected workstation, run a workstation setup for AE Reporter.
