Environment error: "2147220991 S6rpchtpmp 70: permission denied"

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise Reporter (AE Reporter) you may experience the following error when accessing any AE Reporter menu:
"Environment Error 2147220991 - Stacklink.Mmainlink.main s6rpchtpmp - 70: Permission denied"

To resolve this error, disable Opportunistic Locking on the server. If you are using Contacts, run the opplock.exe on the server console.

To run opplock.exe

  1. From the Start menu, select Run. The curser appears in the Open field.

  2. Click Browse. The Browse screen appears.

  3. Browse to the bin directory and double click opplock.exe. The path appears in the Open field.

  4. Click Run. The Opportunistic Locking Checker screen appears.

  5. Deselect the box, use opportunistic locking and click OK. Opportunistic locking is disabled.
