Reconfiguring templates where ledgers do not appear in System Release

The following routine explains the procedure for reconfiguring ledgers back into System Services.

The routine is intended for use only when the Ledgers list is blank.  If there are existing entries in the Ledgers list they may be duplicated by this routine.

  • It is important that you do not run this routine on a workstation that has both Local and Network installations of System Release.

  • Ensure all users have exited System Services prior to commencing this routine.

Reconfiguring Templates and Ledgers

  1. Press and hold the Windows button and press R on your keyboard. The Run window appears.

  2. Type M:\SOL64\SR SYSTEM\OP\CONFIG SYS<Product> and press Enter. Where M: is the drive that System Services is installed on and <Product> is the product that you wish to re-configure.
    See the examples below for the product codes.
    The Configuration Process will commence searching your mapped drives for the product header files.

    For other MYOB applications not listed above, replace the <Product> with it's relevant Application Type.  Eg: for Insolvency, the Application Type is LQS therefore add SYSLQS at the of the SR SYSTEM\OP\CONFIG command.

     The configuration command for AE Assets is currently unsuccessful.  For more information refer to Re-configuring AE Assets (AST) ledgers into System Release

  3. When all drives have been searched the message "The configuration procedure has finished" appears.

  4. Click Continue.

    Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to configure other products as required.

    The SYSTAX routine will configure the templates back into System Services, but only configures the current Tax related ledgers on to the Ledger List.  Previous Tax years will need to be done manually and individually by loading the ledger, starting with Central Database followed by the Tax Calculator ledger then Tax System ledger for each Tax year in turn. Please refer to Creating a new ledger in System Release for more information on loading ledgers.
