This support note applies to:
- AO Tax (AU)
- AE Tax (AU)
- AE Tax Series 6 & 8 (AU)
In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) and Accountants Office (AO) Tax you may need to reset your Tax data files in certain circumstances.
If you have been instructed to do this by Support or from another support article, use the following instructions to reset your Tax data files.
This process will result in clearing the 2020 tax return data (i.e. the return status and lodgment due dates).
Once you have reset your Tax 2020 database you will need to perform the Year End Routine.
Log in to Identifying the location of System Release as an Administrator with level 6* security access.
If you are unsure of an administrator username or password, use the following credentials:
User code: SUPERVIS
Click the Folders option from the Navigation Bar.If the Folders window does not appear, click the Administration link on the Navigation Bar; then the Folders option.
- Select the Tax folder with the reference AETAX1 or AOTAX1 and press Enter.
- Right-click on the Tax 2020 ledger and select Rebuild. The message "Ledger has been operated on since backup. Continue?" appears. Click Yes. The Data rebuild/reset utility window appears.
Click the Reset tab and select the following files:
Do not tick the files: DZZTT010 AND DZZTB010
Click OK. The message "Warning: You have elected to reset some database components. This will result in any existing data stored therein being deleted. Are you sure you wish to proceed?"
Click Yes. The 2020 tax database files are reset. You'll now need to run the Year End Routine.
After resetting your tax database files as per the previous procedure, from System Release, double click the Tax 2020 ledger. The year-end routine appears.
- Follow the Year End Routine prompts to complete the process. Detailed instructions on how to manually execute the Year End Routine are available in Running the Year End Routine manually for Tax
The 2020 PLS Tax tables will need to be recreated. Contact us for assistance with this procedure.
MYOB Internal Notes
Run the following scripts located within C:\Program Files (x86)\Myob\TaxCore\ in order on the clients SQL tax database to recreate the tables. (PD will be making a utility for this. Check with Premium).
