Stopping and starting Admin Centre services

This support note applies to:

  • AE Tax Series 6 & 8 (AU)

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE), the MYOB Administration Centre allows data to be transferred to and from AE Tax.

However, you may be required to stop these services in order to complete a procedure in another Knowledge Base article or, on instruction from MYOB Support.

 Alternatively, you may be required to restart the services where they have been been stopped.

This article will walk you through how to stop or start these services.

These steps need to be performed on the server where MYOB AE has been installed. If you are using a standalone, perform the steps below on your standalone PC.

To stop all services
  1. From the desktop of your Server or Standalone, click the Windows Start (
    ) button and search for MYOB Administration Centre. The MYOB Administration Centre window appears with a list of the services in the right-hand pane.
  2. In the Left-hand pane, click Stop all services in Administration Centre. The Status of each service in the right-hand pane displays Stopped.

 

If you stop all services, once you have completed the required processes, ensure that you restart the services.

To start all services
  1. From the desktop of your Server or Standalone, click the Windows Start (

    ) button and search for MYOB Administration Centre. The MYOB Administration Centre window appears with a list of the services in the right-hand pane.

  2. From the left-hand pane, click Start all services in Administration Centre. The Status for each service changes from Stopped to StartPending then finally changes to Running.
  3. Close the MYOB Administration Centre window.
