Performing a silent install of Reporter 3.4
This support note applies to:
- AE Reporter (NZ)
- AE Reporter (AU)
When you install MYOB AE Reporter, there is a server component and also a workstation component which you need to install onto each workstation in your practice. If you want to run the workstation installation automatically without your interaction, you can run the workstation component as a silent installation.
- From the Windows Desktop, right-click on the Windows Start menu and select Run. Alternatively, you can press the Windows key + R on the keyboard.
- In the Open field, type the following command and click OK.
S:\AESQL\TAX\setup\Reporter Integration\setup.exe /s /v /q, where S:\ MYOB is installed.
Unless you run this command as part of a batch file, the command forces a silent installation regardless of errors using C:\Program Files(x86)\MYOB\Reporter\3.3 as the installation directory. If you wish to install to a different directory, there is no silent installation option. If you implement the command as part of a batch file for when users log in, this command will be run fully automated. For more information regarding running batch files, refer to your I.T. Consultant.
